Overview
Lightsphere X
Our distributed optical circuit switch (dOCS) integrates optical switching directly into the scale-up interconnect, enabling larger and more flexible GPU superclusters. By distributing the switching function across the network rather than relying on a centralized switch, dOCS eliminates single points of failure and allows failed nodes to be serviced without disrupting overall operation. The architecture also improves price-performance by eliminating the need for expensive, high-power top-of-rack electronic packet switches by combining switching and connectivity into a single pluggable device. This deployment-friendly approach adds routing capacity and resiliency while reducing power, cost, and network complexity.
